I right click on the individual game " properties > compatibility > Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool " and then let the shaders thing do what ever it is they do. Instead of going to steam " global settings steam play " and ticking the second box "Enable Steam Play for all other titles ". After you first install steam and you have all those greyed out install buttons.
